Christian Cadeddu Dessalvi is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at the Department of Medical Sciences and Public Health, University of Cagliari. He is also Chief of the Heart Failure and Cardio-Oncology Unit of the University Hospital of Cagliari. He obtained his MD and Master’s Degree in Cardiology and his Ph.D. at the Department of Cardiovascular and Neurological Sciences, University of Cagliari, in 1998, 2003, and 2008.
Dr. Enrica Mariano specialized in Cardiology at "La Sapienza" University of Rome. She has been involved in clinical research of Takotsubo syndrome from many years and is part of the international GEIST registry. She has been working in interventional cardiology at Tor Vergata Univresity in Rome since 2005. She carries out her private clinical activity in Mater De Intrenational Hospital in Rome. She also teaches Cardiology at Perfusionist Course and specializes in Cardiovascular Diseases in Tor Vergata University. She has written numerous original scientific articles in national and international journals and is the author of the bestselling book "Illness is Just the Tip of the Iceberg. The Cure Starts by Listening". Her fields of interest mainly concern interventional and structural cardiology and other pathologies such as pulmonary hypertension and pericarditis.
Dr. Andrea Salzano, a General Internal Medicine Specialist with a PhD in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology and Therapeutics, currently works as an Hon Research Fellow at the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Leicester, Leicester, UK. Further, he is a Consultant Physician, with clinical activity at AORN A Cardarelli (Naples, IT) and the University Hospital of Leicester (UHL-UK). His major field of interest is heart failure, with a particular interest in biomarkers, hormones, the gut microbiome, and diabetology.
Prof. Dr. Francesco Fedele is a specialist in Diseases of the Cardiovascular System. He has served as a Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome "La Wisdom", Associate Professor at the University of L'Aquila, and Director of the Special Vascular Department at the Umberto I Polyclinic in Rome. Prof. Dr. Francesco Fedele is a Member of the Italian Society of Cardiology, the Society of Sports Cardiology, the Lancisiana Academy, and the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (SIEC) and has been President of the National Institute for Cardiovascular Research (INRC) since 2011. The results of his scientific activity carried out uninterruptedly from 1976 to today include over 1000 publications published in national and international journals. Prof. Fedele has dedicated himself mainly to the study of cardiovascular and cardiorespiratory pathophysiology as well as the physical and instrumental semiotics of the cardiovascular system.
