Dr. Kelly Lambert is an Associate Professor, Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, and Academic Program Director for Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. She has more than two decades of clinical experience as a specialist kidney dietitian. In
2018, she completed her Ph.D. which focused on the impact of health literacy and cognitive impairment on dietary self-management in kidney failure. Her research interests and values are supporting people with kidney disease to live better lives, improving patient education by health professionals, and educating
future dietitians.
Prof. Karen Walton is an Associate Dean of Student Life at the University of Wollongong, and the Acting Discipline Leader for Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of Wollongong. She has a Ph.D., a Master of Science (Nutrition & Dietetics), and a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry and Nutrition). She is a member of Dietitians Australia and is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 30 years of experience across clinical, aged care, food service dietetics, and higher education settings. She regularly supervises Honours, Masters, and Ph.D. students and her research interests particularly include nutrition support for older adults across the continuum of care, food service dietetics, and clinical dietetics.
