Georgina Hopkins is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Immunology at the School of Life Sciences, University of Nottingham. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology with Psychology at Keele University in 2018 and received her Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Nottingham in 2023. Her research focus is allergy development, currently involving epithelial cells, extracellular vesicles, and detergents.
Lucy Fairclough is a Professor of Immunology at the School of Life Sciences, University of Nottingham (UoN). She received her Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham in 2001. Her research examines the immune mechanisms driving allergic sensitization and the effects of cigarette smoke/E-Cigarette vaping on immune cells and inflammation. She also has an interest in the role of extracellular vesicles in driving these immune responses. She utilizes cutting-edge imaging and spectral flow cytometry, as well as multiplex technologies, to address these research questions. She is the Academic Lead for Flow Cytometry at UoN and Chairs the Midlands Innovation (MI) Flow Cytometry Group, MI Immunology Network (MIIN) and MI EV Network.
