Dr. Bassam Francis Matti is a consultant hematologist at the Baghdad Hematology Center and the Bone Marrow Transplant Center in the Medical City. Dr. Bassam completed his postgraduate training in Medicine from Mosel/Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in 2004 as a part of the requirement for the Arab and Iraqi Board of Internal Medicine, then became a post-graduate student in clinical Adult Haematology at Baghdad Teaching hospital-medical City in 2007. He is one of the key opinion leaders in hematology inside Iraq and has been one of the hematologists who arranges the Iraqi hematology guidelines since 2009. He was a member of the Ministry of Health clinical hematology consultation committee from 2009 to 2012. Now, he is a member of Iraqi national drug approval and a president of the Iraqi Society of Hematology. Dr. Bassam has been continuously attending national and international conferences and has several published works in the field of hematology, mainly in chronic myeloid leukemia. On 18/09/2020, his name was approved by the Council of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for FRCP-Edin. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Iraqi Society of Hematology, and he was elected as head of the Iraqi Society of Hematology in 2019.
Alaa Fadhil Alwan is a consultant hematologist at the national center of hematology/Mustansiriyah University, and professor of clinical hematology at Mustansiriyah University College of medicine in Baghdad. He obtained his MBChB  from Tikrit University College of medicine in 1997. He completed his fellowship program in internal medicine in 2005 and his doctoral degree in adult clinical hematology in 2008, achieved his certificate of competence in Lymphoma from Ulm university in 2016, and was awarded a fellowship from the Royal college of Physician of London FRCP (London). He is a member of many national and international societies and editor in chief of the Iraqi journal of hematology. He is interested in research on leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma
Gianluca Gaidano is a Professor of Hematology at the Department of Translational Medicine & Interdisciplinary Research Center on Autoimmune Diseases (IRCAD), Amedeo Avogadro University of Eastern Piedmont, Novara, Italy and a Director of Division of Hematology, Department of Oncology, Amedeo Avogadro University of Eastern Piedmont and Ospedale Maggiore della Carita’, Novara, Italy. Gianluca Gaidano obtained an M.D. at the University of Torino, Italy in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Human Oncology at the University of Torino, Italy in 1992. Gianluca Gaidano was a Specialist in Internal Medicine at the University of Torino, Italy, in 1994 and a Specialist in Hematology at the University of Torino, Italy, in 1998.
