Dr. Ewelina Honkisz-Orzechowska is an assistant professor at the Department of Technology and Biotechnology of Drugs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland, where she completed a postdoctoral degree. Her research interests include the role of microglia in neuroinflammation. Honkisz-Orzechowska qualified as a Doctor of Biological Sciences at Jan Kochanowski University.

Prof. Katarzyna Kieć-Kononowicz is a professor in the Department of Technology and Biotechnology of Drugs at the Faculty of Pharmacy Medical College, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. In 2020–2022, she was selected as one of the most influential scientists in the world by specialists from the Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her research interests include medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical biotechnology, including GPCR ligands design, synthesis, and evaluation of their properties, especially adenosine, histamine, and orphan receptors, e.g., GPR18 and GPR55.
