Dr. Mathias Christophe Eymery is currently a Postdoctoral fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), in France. He defended his Ph.D. in biochemistry at EMBL and Grenoble Alpes University in 2023 and completed his PharmD in 2019. His research interests are the study of proteins and protein-ligand interaction for drug discovery.

Prof. Ahcène Boumendjel is a Professor of Chemistry at the Université Grenoble Alpes, France. He earned his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from the University of Reims in 1991 under the guidance of Dr. Georges Massiot. From 1991 to 1994, he was an NIH postdoctoral fellow working on the chemistry and biochemistry of sphingolipids at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Bethesda/USA. From 1994 to 1995, he worked as a research associate for a biotech company in Boston. In 1996, he joined the Pharmacy School of the University of Grenoble as an assistant professor and, in 2008, he became a full professor of organic and medicinal chemistry. The research areas Prof. Boumendjel deals with are the medicinal chemistry of natural products, radiotracers, and drug repositioning.

Andrew Aloysius McCarthy is the Team Leader at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Grenoble Outstation (since 2007), and a member of the ATTRACT PCB (since 2016). He obtained a Ph.D. in 1997 from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He was a research associate at Utrecht University and a postdoctoral researcher at Massey University and Auckland University. He has more than 25 years of experience in structural biology and co-authored over 73 publications. He is an expert in X-ray diffraction techniques but also uses electron and light microscopy imaging technologies to better understand biological questions. His team is dedicated to the further development of X-ray diffraction and scattering techniques and they significantly contribute to the design and operation of several structural biology beamlines at the ESRF. He was also a member of the Alkion Biopharama scientific advisory board which was acquired by Evonik. The EMBL has significant experience in developing innovative X-ray diffraction and imaging instruments, as well as the methods and analysis algorithms needed to process this data for biological applications. He hopes this experience, when coupled with the ATTRACT initiative, can be used to create the next generation of imaging technologies needed to address the ever-growing need of the biological community.

Dr. Jens Hausmann completed his Ph.D. studies at the Department of Biochemistry at the Netherlands Cancer Research Institute in Amsterdam in 2013. From 2013 to 2016, he performed his postdoctoral studies at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biomolecular Medicine in Münster with an EMBO Long-Term Fellowship (2014-2016). Afterwards, from 2017 to 2020, he served as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg and Grenoble and at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Münster University Hospital. Since 2022, he has been a Research Associate in the Department of Anatomy in the Department of Human Medicine at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany.
