Simona Pajaujiene is a full-time Associate Professor at the Department of Coaching Science of the Lithuanian Sports University, with 30 years of teaching and practical experience in the health and fitness industry. She completed a BSc in Sport Sciences (1995), an MSc in Public Health-Health and Fitness (2004), and a PhD in Social Science-Sports Science and Education (2012). Her scientific research includes health education, healthy behaviour promotion, testing of physical capacity and cognitive functions, body image problems in sports, and exercise during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She is also a co-founder and program director of EuropeActive’s accredited vocational training school, ‘ActiveTraining’. Simona is an active healthy lifestyle promoter, author and co-author of books and articles, co-creator of several European standards for fitness and physical activity, a participant on TV and radio shows, and a guest speaker at various Lithuanian and international sports, leisure, and public health events, conferences, and workshops. Simona has participated in a number of EU projects and is constantly involved in training and lifelong learning courses for exercise and sports professionals. She annually holds teaching visits to different European universities and participates in Erasmus BIPs.
Luca Petrigna received his bachelor's degree in exercise and Sports Sciences from the University of Palermo in 2013, a Master's Degree in Exercise Education and Adapted Activities Sciences from the University of Torino in 2015, and a PhD in Health Promotion and Cognitive Sciences from the
University of Palermo in 2021. He is a fixed-term assistant professor of Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of Catania. His scientific interests mainly focus on evaluating the morphological aspects of musculoskeletal pathologies (osteoarthritis) and predicting astrometric, thermal, and kinematic changes in patients with early osteoarthritis through infrared thermography.
