Prof. Dr. Chunying Li is an associate professor and supervisor of master's and doctoral students at the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Resource Utilization, Northeast Forestry University. She also serves as the director of the Heilongjiang Botanical Society. In September 2000, she was admitted to Northeast Forestry University to study for a master's degree in Botany. In June 2003, she stayed at Northeast Forestry University after graduating with a master's degree. In 2006, she graduated with a doctorate in Bioengineering from Northeast Forestry University. From 2015 to 2016, she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is mainly devoted to research on plant interspecies relationships, plant resource science, the screening of active ingredients of medicinal plants, and the evaluation of functional ingredients.
Prof. Dr. Chunjian Zhao is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Resource Utilization, Northeast Forestry University. He is currently the first-level subject leader in pharmacy and the leader in the direction of pharmacognosy, deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Forest Plant Ecology of the Ministry of Education, director of the Engineering Research Center of Forestry Biological Agents of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the Heilongjiang Key Laboratory of Ecological Utilization of Forest Source Active Substances, and director of the Botanical Medicine Engineering Research Center of Northeast Forestry University. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Botanical Society of Heilongjiang Province and the Executive Director of the Ecological Society of Heilongjiang Province. He obtained a B.Sc. in Forestry and an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Botany at Northeast Forestry University. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of directional induction, separation and purification, quality control, and chemical relationships between plant species of bioactive substances for medicinal plant resources.
