Mohammed A. Aloshan currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architectural Engineering, College of Engineering, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree at the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in 2000, a Master's Degree at the University of Sydney in 2006 and a Ph.D. at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2016. He has been a member of the Society of Building Science Educators since 2015 and a member of the Saudi Umran Society since 2019. He has over 25 years of experience and knowledge in green building design and science, including energy-efficient design, energy simulation, design solutions for high-performance buildings and energy auditing. In addition, he is interested in using the accumulated knowledge in developing architectural design education in Saudi Arabia towards more environmentally responsive practice in the future.
Prof. Dr. Islam Elghonaimy works in the Department of Architecture, University of Bahrain (Isa Town, Bahrain), as a Professor. He earned a Master's in Environmental studies from Alexandria University in 1994 and earned a PhD in Architecture Engineering from Mansoura University in 2000. His research interests mainly focus on urban design; landscape architecture; city urban problems; and environmental studies. His scientific output includes 12 publications, corresponding to 27 citations (h-index 3) (Scopus, 28 December 2023).
