Dr. Ursula K. Braun is an Associate Professor in Medicine-Geriatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX USA, and the Director of Palliative Care at the Michael E. Her interests lie within symptom burden and outcomes due to cancer therapy, advance care planning, as well as the use of Telemedicine to broaden access of Palliative Medicine to vulnerable/frail veterans.
Dr. Mary Acelle Garcia is an Assistant Professor in the Medicine-Geriatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. She is a practicing palliative medicine physician at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Houston, Texas, USA. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and completed two fellowships (geriatrics and palliative medicine) after her internal medicine residency training. Her interests include dementia, end-of-life care, advance care planning and symptom management related to cancer.
Dr. Syed N Imam is currently affiliated with the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, TX, USA. He is an Associate Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Resident at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He holds a TX State Medical License. In 2001, he completed Fellowship of Geriatric Medicine (Internal Medicine) from Loyola University Medical Center.
