Dr. Rita Saúde-Conde received her Master's degree in Medicine from NOVA Medical School and her Master's degree in Palliative Care from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is currently undertaking a Ph.D. degree in Medical Sciences at Université libre de Bruxelles and works as a Medical Oncologist at Institut Jules Bordet in Brussels Region, Belgium. Her skills and specialty mainly include Digestive Oncology, Clinical Research, and Clinical trials with a focus on early phase Clinical trials.
Dr. Ayça Arçay Öztürk graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Hacettepe Üniversitesi and completed Nuclear Medicine Residency at Akdeniz University. She is currently undertaking a Ph.D. degree in Medical Sciences at the Jules Bordet Institute, Université libre de Bruxelles. Her research interests mainly include Molecular Imaging, Radionuclide Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Julie Navez received her Supplementary Master's degree in Surgery And her Doctor of Medicine from Université catholique de Louvain. She currently is a Ph.D. candidate at the Université libre de Bruxelles and works as a Surgeon at the Departement of Abdominal Surgery and Transplantation at Hôpital Erasme—Cliniques Universitaires de Bruxelles. She is also a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Surgery.
Dr. Christelle Bouchart obtained her Master`s Degree and Doctor of Medicine from Université libre de Bruxelles and now is a Senior Medical Doctor P.H.U and Ph.D. candidate at the Institut Jules Bordet and a Recipient of a “Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique – FNRS” fellowship as a Clinical Master Specialist Applicant to a Ph.D. She is also a Member of the Specialization Master's DES in Radiation–Oncology at Université libre de Bruxelles and an expert panel member of the Belgian guidelines development group for pancreatic cancer. She has a specific interest in clinical RT solutions for pancreatic cancer, hepatocarcinoma, and related translational research.
Tatjana Arsenijevic is currently affiliated with the Erasme
Hospital, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. She completed her Ph.D.
studies in biomedical sciences at the Université libre de Bruxelles—Faculty of
Medicine. Her scientific interests are focused on the study of pancreatic
cancer research; tumoral heterogeneity and resistance to therapy; and precision
medicine in PDAC.
Patrick Flamen graduated at the Medical School of the
University of Ghent, Belgium, in 1990. He specialised in Nuclear Medicine at
the Vrije Universiteit van Brussel (VUB) in Brussels, Belgium. Thereafter, he
worked for 5 years in the University Hospital of Leuven, Belgium, where he
obtained a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences in May 2001 on the use of FDG PET
in Digestive Oncology. He is the head of the Nuclear Medicine Department,
University Hospitals of Brussels (HUB), Institut Jules Bordet. His research
interests mainly focus on the use of positron emission tomography (PET-CT) for
Molecular Imaging in clinical and translational research in oncology.
Jean-Luc Van Laethem is the Head of the Digestive Oncology
Clinic within the Gastroenterology department of the Erasme Hospital (ULB).
Since 2013, he has also been the Head of the Medical Oncology Department and
Coordinator of the Oncological Care Program at the Erasme Hospital. He is
currently chairman of the Pancreatic Task Force of the European Organization
for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), as well as a member of the
Scientific Committee of the European Society of Digestive Oncology. He is also
a member of the Teaching College for the Certificate in Gastroenterology and a
lecturer at ULB. His research keywords include pancreatic cancer;
distal pancreatectomy; pancreatic neoplasia; and pancreas physiology.
