Antonio Carlos Pinheiro de Oliveira has a degree in Pharmacy from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG-2002), a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same university (2005), a Doctorate from the University of Freiburg/Germany (2009) and a post-doctorate from the Neuroscience Center of UFMG (2010). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at UFMG. He works mainly on the following topics: neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, pharmacology.

Helton Jose dos Reis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1995), a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology) from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1998), a Doctorate in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology) from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2003), a post-doctorate from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2014) and a post-doctorate from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2004). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He has experience in Pharmacology, with an emphasis on Biochemical and Molecular Pharmacology. His main areas of expertise are neurotransmission, glutamate, distal colon, guinea pig and calcium ions.
