Kristin Protte-Freitag is a subject leader at the Institute of Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, focusing on bio-integrated production technologies for the valorization of waste streams. She completed her PhD in Dairy Technology at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany, and the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 2019. Her skills and expertise include additive manufacturing, waste stream valorization, food processing and engineering, analytics and spectroscopy.
Dr. Robert Miehe heads a research group that explores sustainability in production, resource efficiency, lean and environmental management, product-related environmental protection, and biointelligence at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA. Also, he is a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany. He completed his Master's studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and his studies in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration at the Technische Universität Berlin in 2012.
