Paulo R Shiroma received his medical degree from the
Cayetano Heredia University. He is a geriatrician at the Geriatric Psychiatry
Clinic, Mental Health Service Line, Minneapolis VA Medical Center, University
of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, MN. His research interests mainly
focus on the unique health needs of the elderly, including chronic diseases,
nutritional problems, skin ailments, cognitive loss, memory impairment, the adverse
effects of medications, immobility, and balance issues.
