Song Liang has been an associate professor at the Key Laboratory of Engineering Bionics, Ministry of Education, Jilin University since 2014. He worked as a project manager at China Datang Group Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. from 2013 to 2014. He obtained a bachelor's degree at Jilin University, majoring in polymer materials and engineering from 1997 to 2001, a Master's degree in Materials Science at Jilin University from 2001 to 2004, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of North Dakota from 2004 to 2010. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Washington State University from 2010 to 2012. The research directions and interests include biomimetic microreactors and biomimetic catalytic reactions: design and assembly of biomimetic microreactors; biomimetic light and electrocatalysis; biomimetic composite enzyme catalysis and functional bionic medical materials: design and research of artificial skin and synthetic biological patches; research on bionic hydrogel 3D printing and molding technology.
Prof. Dr. Zhenning Liu is the Dean of Bionic Sciences and Engineering and the executive deputy
director of the National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Bionic Engineering
at Jilin University. He received his bachelor degree in chemistry from Peking University
and Ph. D. degree in biochemistry and molecular pharmacology from Harvard Medical
School. Currently, Dr. Liu is a Tang Ao Qing Laureate Professor at Jilin
University. His research focuses on functional materials and biomaterials. He
has published more than 80 research articles in high-profile journals.
