José Carlos Raposo da Camara, Ophthalmologist Doctor (jcrcamara@hotmail.com) graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Mogi das Cruzes. He gained the title of Specialist in Ophthalmology from the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology. He worked in the ophthalmology area in private practices, public hospitals, and Basic Health Units (UBS). He obtained a Master’s Degree in E-Health Management from Rome Business School and a Ph.D. in Web Science and Technology from Universidade Aberta (Lisbon, Portugal), with the thesis "Computer-Assisted Diagnosis Applied to Glaucoma Screening." He worked as a post-doctorate at Universidade Trás os Montes (Portugal), analyzing medical images using Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal dystrophies.

Antonio Cunha graduated in 1993 and started working at STCP, the Public Transport operator of Porto. He completed his Master's thesis in 1998 and obtained his doctorate in 2005 in computer vision related to the control of automated guided vehicles. He has been a member of the Centre for Biomedical Engineering Research (C-BER), INESC TEC, since 2015. His research interests include medical image analysis, bio-image analysis, computer vision, image and video processing, and machine learning and artificial intelligence, particularly in the computer-aided diagnosis applied to several imaging modalities, such as retina images, endoscopic capsule videos, and thoracic computed tomography.
