Prof. Dr. Sousana K. Papadopoulou received her Ph.D. in Sports Nutrition from Aristotle University. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor on the topic of human nutrition and public health at the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, School of Health Sciences, International Hellenic University. Her research interests include women's nutrition, uterine fibroids, childhood/pediatrics, anthropometric measurements, nutritional requirements, physical activity, dietetics, nutrition, obesity, and abdominal obesity.
Dr. Eleni Pavlidou is an academic researcher at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, School of
the Environment, University of the Aegean in Myrina, Greece. Her skills and expertise include human nutrition, nutrition assessment, nutritional epidemiology, metabolism, nutritional and metabolic diseases, public health, applied nutrition, body composition analysis, and fat and carbohydrate metabolism.
Odysseas Androutsos is an Associate Professor of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics at the Department of Nutrition-Dietetics, University of Thessaly. Since 2008, he has participated as the Principal Investigator, Project Manager or Member of research groups in national and international research programs, funded by the European Commission or other bodies in Greece or self-funded actions. He has been supported as an external Scientific Consultant by the Ministry of Health of Malta and the National Institute of Health of Estonia in the implementation of research programs for the prevention of childhood obesity. His scientific
work has received national and international awards, such as the «John M. Kinney Award» for one of his scientific papers in the field of pediatric nutrition. He is an elected member of the ESDN Obesity of EFAD and is lecturing in postgraduate courses, seminars, and lifelong learning programs in the field of “nutrition and dietetics”. He is the President or Member of educational, research or administrative committees at the University of Thessaly.
Constantinos Giaginis received his chemistry degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of
Athens, his M.S. degree and Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of Athens, and a second Ph.D. from the Medical School, University of Athens. He is an Associate Professor in the field of human nutrition, wellness, and health in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of the Aegean, Greece. His research focuses on the fields of human nutrition, wellness, public health, nutritional pathophysiology, nutritional epidemiology and food toxicology. His current research deals with the potential effects of nutritional habits on several pathophysiological disease states, such as obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. His research interests also include the assessment of physicochemical properties, such as the lipophilicity, solubility, and ionization of drugs, natural bioactive compounds, and toxic compounds in relation to their biological activity or toxicity, as well as their absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) parameters, and their
pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic profiles.
