Prof. Dr. Jan Wijnholds received his Ph.D. from the University of Groningen. He was a principle investigator at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience from 2000 to 2015. He is now an associate professor at Leiden University Medical Center. His research focuses on retinal gene therapy; retinal degeneration; retinal organoids; and inherited retinal degeneration.
