Emily Ming-Chieh Lu is a Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London. She completed her specialist training in periodontology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, obtaining her Master’s in Clinical Dentistry and a Ph.D. in Periodontology, investigating the mesenchymal regulation of the junctional epithelium, from King’s College London. She also has a membership in Periodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her research interests include the pathogenesis of periodontitis as well as the development of novel therapeutics for periodontal regeneration.
