She is also the guest editor of the Journal of Clinical Medicine. Her research interests include non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, COVID-19, acute respiratory failure, ARDS, viral pandemic, nasal high-flow therapy, and rehabilitation.
Charles Guenancia is a Full Professor of Physiology and cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in atrial fibrillation pathophysiology and ablation at the University Hospital of Dijon, France. He has a special focus on heart/brain interactions and the role of atrial cardiopathy on cerebrovascular events and AF progression. He obtained his doctorate at Université de Bourgogne in 2015. He holds membership in the French Society of Physiology and the French Society of Cardiology.
Prof. Dr. Yannick Béjot heads the Department of Neurology, the Stroke Unit, and the Memory Clinic of the University Hospital of Dijon, France. He teaches Neurology at the Medical School of Dijon and directs the Dijon Stroke Registry, a research team of the University of Burgundy, whose aim is to study the epidemiology of stroke and TIA in a population-based setting. His research is focused on the identification of risk factors and causes of stroke, the consequences of the disease on patients’ health in terms of functional outcomes, cognitive impairment and dementia, depressive symptoms and quality of life, and temporal trends in patients’ management, with the global objective of improving diagnostic procedures, primary and secondary prevention and the quality of education of healthcare professionals as well as stroke patients themselves. He has developed translational research on the interactions between the brain and the heart during ischemic processes using animal models of cerebral infarction to identify markers that could represent new therapeutic targets in humans. He has been the author of > 380 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and he is currently involved in several national and international research groups and societies, including the European Stroke Organisation and The French Neurovascular Society.
Gabriel Laurent is the Chief of the Cardiology Department at University Hospital Dijon and Enseignant of the European Society of Cardiology. He obtained his MD and Ph.D. at University Hospital Dijon and served as an EP fellow at Nancy University Hospital from 1999 to 2001. He completed his post-graduation studies at Saint Michael’s Hospital Toronto (ON) in 2007.
Dr. Claudio Rabec is an Assistant Professor and a Critical Care Pulmonologist & Sleep Disorders Specialist at the Centre Hospitalier et Universitaire de Dijon, Université de Bourgogne, France. He specialized in Pulmonary Medicine-pulmonology. He is also the guest editor of the Journal of Clinical Medicine.
