Dr. Khalid Aljohani currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia teaching oral medicine. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Dental Science at the Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University in 1999, a Master's degree in Oral Medicine at the Eastman Dental Institute, London in 2004, and a Ph.D. in Oral Medicine at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London in 2010. His research interests are Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology, and Oral Epidemiology.
Dr. Ali Abdullah Alqarni currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Diagnostic Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, Taif University, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Bachelor's degree in dentistry from King AbdulAziz University. He was a PhD Candidate at King's College London from 2017 to 2022. During 2013–2015, he was a General Dentist at the Security Forces Hospital in Makkah. He serves as a member of the Expenditure Efficiency Committee, a Council Member at the Research and Consultation Centre, and the Director of the Medical and Clinical Affairs Department at University Dental Hospital, Taif University, Saudi Arabia . His research interests are Oral Medicine, Autoimmune, Immunology, Dentistry, and Healthcare.
Dr. Rui Albuquerque is a Consultant in Oral Medicine at Guy’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. He received his Master’s degree in Oral Medicine from the University of Barcelona in 2007. He received his PhD from the University of Barcelona in 2012. After completing specialist training, he was appointed as a Consultant in Oral Medicine at Guy’s
Hospital in 2018. His research interests include potentially malignant diseases of the oral cavity, oral cancer, and facial pain disorders, especially burning mouth syndrome.
