Daping Fan received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Southern Illinois University and an M.D. from Nanjing University Medical School, China. He is a Professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. His research primarily focuses on the role of macrophage and inflammation in cardiovascular diseases and breast cancer.
E. Angela Murphy received her Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of South Carolina. She joined the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of South Carolina as an Assistant Professor in September 2010. She is committed to a health-related research career as evidenced by her 40 peer-reviewed journal articles in the area of complementary and alternative (CAM) treatment approaches to infection, inflammation, and cancer.
Wayne E. Carver received his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina in 1988. From 2012 to the present, he is a Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the University of South Carolina. His research focuses on understanding how fibroblast behavior and gene expression are regulated in the heart.
