Carmen Lambert works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Health Research Institute of the Principality of Asturias, University of Oviedo. She graduated in Chemistry from the University of Oviedo in 2013 and received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Universitat de Barcelona in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Her research is focused on the search of biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of different diseases, mainly cardiovascular diseases and endocrine diseases.

Prof. Dr. Elias Delgado is a Full Professor at the Medical School of the University of Oviedo. He is also the Diabetes Section Head of the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service of the Central University Hospital of Asturias, Oviedo, and Vice Dean of la FacultadMedicine of la Universidad, Oviedo. In addition, he is a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Diabetes Study (SED). The main line of research in which Prof. Dr. Elias Delgado is involved is Type 2 Diabetes epidemiology.
