Zhijun Jin received his Ph.D. from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. He is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Expert Advisory Committee of the National Energy Commission, the Basic Research Strategic Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Vice President of the Council of Chinese Petroleum Society. His research interests mainly focus on petroleum geology theory; oil/gas strategic area selection and exploration; shale oil/gas enrichment mechanism; hydrocarbon formation mechanism; earth-deep fluids; and hydrocarbon natural resources.
Dr. Xiaowei Huang is a Doctor of Philosophy at the Institute of Energy, Peking University, Beijing, China. His major research interests lie in investigations of Isotope Geochemistry; organic–inorganic interaction; catalysts; and gas. He has published nine articles, read as many as 1191 times and cited 22 times.

Dr. Yutong Su is a PhD Candidate in Geosciences at the School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University. His educational experience includes studying at the China University of Geosciences (Beijing) from September 2017 to July 2021. His major research interests lie in investigations of petrography; minerals; and igneous petrology.
Qian Zhang received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the School of Energy Resources from China University of Geosciences, Beijing, in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and a Ph.D. from RWTH Aachen University in 2020. He was a Lecture/post-doctoral researcher at Peking University. His current research interests include (1) radioactive waste disposal; (2) geological hydrogen storage/exploration; (3) geological carbon dioxide sequestration; (4) geothermal utilization; (5) transport and storage properties of organic-rich shales; (6) deposition and accumulation of organic-rich shale/mudstone; (7) thermal maturity of organic matter; and (8) formation and migration of hydrocarbons.
