Ann-Charlotte E Granholm is the executive director of the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging at the University of Denver (DU). She was the director of the brain bank at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for 15 years and has, since 2016, been the inaugural executive director of the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging (at DU). She has published more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 54 (Scopus, 29 January 2024). Her research interests include traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, down syndrome and neurosciences.
Eric D. Hamlett is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the research coordinator of the MUSC Carroll A. Campbell, Jr. Neuropathology Laboratory program. He serves as the associate editor of the Journal of Frontiers in Neuroscience and has served as a repeat reviewer for several journals. He received his B.S. degree in Biology and Chemistry from Western Carolina University in 2002. He was a scientist at the McAllister Heart Institute and later served as the manager of the UNC Systems Proteomics Research Center. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, receiving his Ph.D. in Neurosciences in 2017. His postdoctoral research was performed at the University Denver Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging (2017-2018). Before his arrival at MUSC, he served on the T21 research society communication team, and won several competitive awards for research innovation and entrepreneurial start-up.
