Thais Louvain de Souza earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of the North Fluminense Darcy-UENF in 2010, gained a Master’s degree in Biosciences and Biotechnology from the same university in 2012, and completed her Ph.D. in 2016, also from UENF. Currently, she is a Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine of Campos and a Professor responsible for the Curriculum Components of Scientific Research and Medicine Based on Evidence of the Graduate Course in Medicine. She developed her research activities in the area of health, with an emphasis on epidemiology, and has been mainly dedicated to the study of epidemiological methods and the epidemiology of infectious diseases transmissible to the fetus, such as HIV, syphilis, and CHIKV.
Milton Masahiko Kanashiro graduated in Veterinary Medicine and received a Master's degree in Veterinary Microbiology from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Kanashiro gained a Ph.D. in Biosciences and Biotechnology at the State University of Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro. Dr. Kanashiro is an associate professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. From 2007 to 2011, Dr. Kanashiro was the coordinator of the distance course Degree in Biological Sciences at CEDERJ/UENF. Dr. Kanashiro has experience in the area of immunology, with emphasis on immunochemistry and cellular immunology, and focuses mainly on the following topics: monoclonal antibodies, immunodiagnosis, inflammation, toxins, and evaluation of organic and inorganic compounds with antineoplastic activity.
