Hamid Mukhtar currently works as a
Professor of Biotechnology and is a former Director at the Institute of Industrial
Biotechnology, and Director Quality at Government College University, Lahore. Hamid conducts research in
Industrial Biotechnology and Microbiology. His current project is 'Protease
Production, Purification, and Applications' and Production of
Biofuels'. His skills and expertise include Bioprocess Engineering and Fermentation Technology, Enzymes,
Industrial Biotechnology, Microbial Biotechnology, Biofuel Production,
Bioprocess Engineering, and Applied Microbiology.
Dr. Bartłomiej Zieniuk has a position as an Assistant Professor and is currently at the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Food Sciences, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. He obtained a PhD in Agricultural Sciences and the Discipline of Food and Nutrition Technology. His scientific interests are enzyme biosynthesis, enzymatic synthesis of compounds with antioxidant activity, and chemistry of natural compounds. He received a special award from the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.
Umer Rashid obtained his M.Sc. in
Chemistry in 2003, from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He
was awarded a Ph.D. Chemistry degree in 2009 from the same institute.
Currently, he is working as a Fellow Researcher at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. His research aims to create innovative bio-based heterogeneous catalysts from agro-waste, producing renewable biofuels from unconventional sources with value-added agricultural usage. Simultaneously, he seeks to replace existing conventional catalysts and petroleum-based fuels. Dr. Rashid has developed novel recyclable heterogeneous catalysts with industrial applications, enhancing alternative fuels production via innovative bio-based routes and developing commodity chemicals that are typically derived from non-renewable sources. With a cumulative impact factor of 1370 and a h-index of 58, he has produced over 300 research articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, with a total of 11404 Scopus citations. He has been privileged to serve as an editor, co-editor, and guest editor for many journals.
