Khalil Abdelouahed is a professor in the Department of Medicine, Geriatrics Service, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Sherbrooke, Canada. He completed his Ph.D. studies at the Université René Descartes in 1995. His research interests focus on the importance of the functionality of HDL in cardiovascular protection. In particular, he is
interested in the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of HDL, as well as their ability to mediate reverse cholesterol transport in the prevention of CVD.
