Dr. Madalina Musat earned her Ph.D. degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2006. She currently serves as an Associate Professor of endocrinology at  "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. Dr. Madalina Musat is an Academic Endocrinologist with an interest in pituitary, thyroid disorders, obesity, and diabetes mellitus. She works as a Clinical Endocrinologist at "C.I.Parhon" Romanian National Institute of Endocrinology and is involved in international collaborative projects on the genetics of pituitary tumors and biotechnology in metabolic and endocrine disease. Her expertise is multidisciplinary, spanning the fields of clinical endocrinology, human genetics, and molecular biology. Her research projects include cell cycle dysregulation in pituitary tumors,  genetics of familial isolated pituitary tumors, and gut dysbiosis involved in endocrine disorders. Dr. Madalina Musat's research has been published in leading scientific journals and book chapters. Dr. Madalina Musat’s clinical practice covers the spectrum of pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, diabetes, obesity, menopause, and osteoporosis.

Ciprian Iliescu received his PhD degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 1999 . While pursuing his PhD degree, he worked at Baneasa S.A. where he was involved in the design and fabrication of pressure sensors. Between 2001 and 2003 he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at NTU, Singapore, and was involved in projects related to microphone, wafer-level packaging of MEMS devices and RF microrelay. Between 2003 and 2017 he was with IBN, Singapore, as Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist. He was also a Visiting PI at IMT Bucharest, where he set up the "Micro and Nanofluidic lab". He worked with Bigheart at NUS, Singapore, between 2017 and 2019. Currently, he is the ERA Chair at eBio-hub Research Center -University "Politenica" of Bucharest and a PI at IMT, Bucharest. His current research projects relate to molecular diagnostic, nanomedicine, transdermal drug delivery using microneedles array and e-tattoo. Dr. Iliescu is a member of the Academy of Romanian Scientists.
