Dr. Marco Bobbo is a specialist in cardiology who works in the Department of Cardiology of IRCCS Burlo Garofolo. He has experience in congenital cardiology in newborns, children and adults with congenital disease. He is also a specialist in the field of paediatric arrhythmology and foetal cardiology. He is the author/co-author of many articles in the field of paediatric cardiology.
Egidio Barbi is a specialist in pediatrics and anesthesiology. He is a Full Professor of Pediatrics, Director of the Department of Pediatrics, Department of Pediatric Clinic, and Director of the School of Specialization in Pediatrics of the University of Trieste, at the IRCCS Burlo Infantile Maternal Hospital. He has a long experience as a general pediatrician, with several research interests such as allergology, emergency pediatrics, pain management and procedural sedation. He is author of 420 original articles indexed in PubMed and more than 120 other articles cited in Scopus, all published in peer-reviewed journals. Among other books and chapters, he is the author of eight editions of a pediatric manual of national importance (Pediatric Prontuary Edifarm), published in the last 20 years. He has been a speaker at more than 250 pediatric meetings of national and international importance. He has published in international pediatric journals and is a member of the International Committee for Advance in Pediatric Sedation, as well as a member of the editorial committee of the magazine Medico and Bambino.
Dr. Thomas Caiffa is a cardiologist at the Department of Cardiology, Institute for Maternal and Child Health, IRCCS Burlo Garofolo, Trieste, Italy. During his training, he developed specific skills in clinical and advanced cardiac imaging. He also attended the cardio-MRI department of the University Hospital of South Manchester, UK. He was Councilor of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists, section FVG, for two years: 2021–2023. He carries out review activities for international scientific journals with a high impact factor. He has specific expertise in pediatric cardiology.
