Dr. Md Zahidul Islam Pranjol is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School (Education) at the School of Life Sciences, the University of Sussex. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Tumour Angiogenesis at the University of Exeter Medical School. He further worked on endothelial cell biology and tumour immunology in his postdoctoral. He has since been working on both science and pedagogy research, particularly in the decolonisation of science higher education. His teaching disciplines include cancer research, anatomy, and pedagogy, and his interests include decolonisation, curriculum development, decolonised assessment modes, technology-enhanced learning, group learning, etc.
