Prof. Mikko Juhani Lammi is a Biochemist and Cell Biologist interested in connective tissues, particularly cartilage and bone. As a former lecturer of the topic, he is also excited in cell biology in general. He has spent most of his major research career in Kuopio, Finland, starting with his Master's thesis in 1985. In January 2015 he moved from the University of Eastern Finland to Umeå University. In September 2015 he also started as a part-time professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, China.

Dr. Chengjuan Qu is affiliated with the Department of Odontology, Umeå University in Umeå, Sweden. Dr. Qu’s research interests mainly focus on qRT-PCR; cell culture; RNA Isolation; immunohistochemistry; flow cytometry; tissue engineering; Agarose Gel Electrophoresis; cartilage; chondrocytes; and adult stem cells. Dr. Qu’s scientific output includes 53 publications in various journals with an h-index of 19 (Scopus, February 2024).
