Tran Dang Xuan is a Professor at three different departments
at Hiroshima University, Japan: (1) The Center for the Planetary Health and
Innovation Science (PHIS), The IDEC Institute, (2) The Transdisciplinary
Science and Engineering Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and
Engineering, and (3) Smart Agriculture Faculty, Graduate School of Innovation
and Practice for Smart Society. He obtained his doctoral degree at Kagoshima
University in 2004. Before he was appointed as a Professor at Hiroshima
University, he worked as an assistant professor at the University of the
Ryukyus in 2006 and as an associate professor at Hiroshima University in 2012.
His research interests include plant breeding, genomics, weed science,
sustainable agricultural production, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry,
and biomass energy.
