Author Biographies

Li Dai obtained a BSc in fine chemical engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in 2009. He received his Ph.D. degree in applied chemistry from BIT under the supervision of Prof. Zhi-Ming Zhou in 2015. After completing postdoctoral research on ionic liquids under the guidance of Prof. Suojiang Zhang at the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPE, CAS), he was appointed as an assistant professor at North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU). His current research interests are focused on asymmetric synthesis and catalysts, as well as functionalized ionic liquids.

Di Xu works at the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China. She received her Ph.D. in Applied Chemical Engineering at the Beijing Institute of Technology and was a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Parma. Later, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University. Her areas of expertise include organic small molecule-transition metal combined asymmetric catalysis, synthesis, and application of olefin polymerization catalysts.
Chen Yang is a Professor at the School of Water Conservancy, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China. He received his Bachelor's degrees in Engineering Mechanics and Business Administration and his Master of Engineering degree in Fluid Mechanics at Tianjin University. Later, he obtained his Doctor of Engineering degree in Water Conservancy Engineering at Tsinghua University and completed his Ph.D. joint training at Cardiff University, UK. Before his current role, he was a Postdoc Fellow (2008–2009) at Texas A&M University and an Associate Professor (2012–2019) at China University of Petroleum, Beijing.
