Author Biographies

Dr. Sooyeon Kwon, Pharm.D., Ph.D., has been a pharmacist for 30 years. Earlier in her career, she conducted health services research in the areas of patient outcomes, policy, and population management in the VA Stroke Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI), Rehabilitation Outcomes Research Center of Excellence, and the NIH Center on Aging in the University of Florida.  She is currently serving Veterans as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) in the field of rheumatology and pharmacogenomics at the Stratton Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, in Albany, NY USA. With her dual expertise in rheumatology and pharmacogenomics, she is serving as a Chair for the National Pharmacogenomics Program Subject Matter Expert Committee in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Prof. Dr. Marc A. Judson is a Professor of Medicine and the Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York USA. He is a leading world authority in sarcoidosis. He has published over 250 manuscripts concerning sarcoidosis and has conducted or participated in over 75 sarcoidosis trials. He was President of the Americas Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (AASOG) and served for 6 years on the Executive Committee of the World Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (WASOG). His areas of expertise include phenotypic expression, pharmacotherapy, and quality of life issues in sarcoidosis.
