Prof. Dr. Holger Steinberg completed his Ph.D. studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin in 2001. He was a Habilitation at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig in 2005, and he is currently an Associate Professor at the university. He has 155 publications with 783 citations and an h-index of 13 (Scopus, 4 January 2024). His research areas are the history of German-speaking psychiatry and neurology in the 19th and 20th centuries. He was a member of the company's board of directors of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geschichte der Nervenheilkunde (DGGN) in 2004–2008.
Hubertus Himmerich completed medical school and his research M.D. (Dr. med.) study at the University of Mainz, Germany, in 1999. He received his scientific and clinical training in psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry in Munich and the Universities of Mainz and Marburg in Germany. From 2007 until 2009, he undertook training as a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) supervisor at the Center for Integrative Psychotherapy in Munich, Germany. After his habilitation in psychiatry at the University of Marburg, he worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Lecturer (Privatdozent) at the RWTH Aachen University Hospital from 2007 until 2009, as a Professor for Neurobiology of Affective Disorders at the University of Leipzig from 2009 until 2015, and as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Eating Disorders at King's College London from 2015 until 2023. Since 2023, he has been a Reader in Eating Disorders at King's College London, UK.
