Dr. Grzegorz K. Jakubiak graduated from the Faculty of Medicine with the Department of Medicine and Dentistry in Zabrze (currently the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze) of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (2017). In the years 2017–2021, he taught at the Department of Pharmacology in Zabrze, and since 2021, he has been employed as a research and teaching assistant at the Department and Clinic of Internal Medicine, Angiology, and Physical Medicine in Bytom. On December 15, 2022, by the decision of the Disciplinary Council of Medical Sciences of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, he obtained a doctoral degree in the field of medical and health sciences in the discipline of medical sciences. His main areas of scientific interest include cardiometabolic diseases, especially the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases in the course of diabetes and dyslipidemia, as well as issues related to oxidative stress, cardio-oncology problems, and frailty syndrome.
