Prof. Dr. Silvia Salvatore is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Insubria, Italy. She received her medical education and pediatric education at the University of Pavia, Italy; Postgraduate Annual Diploma in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Royal Free Hospital and University College Medical School in London; PhD in Medical Science at the VUB-UZ University of Brussels.
Her research interests include various aspects of pediatric gastroenterology: gastroesophageal reflux, celiac disease, functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders, pro-and prebiotics, cow's milk allergy and pediatric nutrition. She is the author of over 150 international publications. She has been a speaker at more than 150 national and international conferences. Additionally, she acts as a reviewer for many international pediatric and gastroenterologist journals.
Prof. Dr. Licia Pensabene undertook her undergraduate medical training at the Reggio Calabria University (1994) and her postgraduate pediatric training at the University Magna Græcia of Catanzaro (2000). She continued to participate in the Advanced Training in Pediatrics at the Department of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh, USA, and she later achieved her Ph.D. in Pediatric Gastro-endocrinology at the University of Parma (2005). In 2005, she was appointed as Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Catanzaro. She was a Pediatric Gastroenterology Consultant at the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London, UK, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the UCL (2015–2016). Since 2016, she has been an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro. Finally, she became an Honorary Consultant in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London, UK, in 2019.
Enza D’Auria is the Head of the Pediatric Allergy Unit at Buzzi Children’s
Hospital in Milan, Italy. Enza D’Auria earned a Ph.D. in Experimental and
Clinical Nutrition from the University of Milan and received a Second-Level Master’s Degree in Immunopathology from the University of Pavia. Enza D’Auria is also a member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), the Italian Pediatric Society, the Italian Society for Pediatric Nutrition, and the Italian Society of Pediatric Allergology and Immunology. Enza D’Auria’s research interests include food allergy, eosinophilic disorders, atopic dermatitis and chronic urticaria, and nutritional management of food allergies.
