Hua Xiao is a Associate
professor at Guangzhou
Maritime University. He obtained his PhD from Cardiff University. His research
keywords are Numerical Simulation, Combustion, Gas Turbines, Engineering
Thermodynamics, Sustainable Energy, Alternate Fuels, Renewable Energy
Technologies and Energy Conversion.
Dr. Wenjing He received her Ph.D. in Building Technology
Science from Tianjin University. She is an associate professor at the School of
Architecture and Urban Planning, Shandong Jianzhu University, and the deputy
director of the Building Technology Teaching and Research section. She is a
member of the Building Technology Committee of the Architectural Society of
China and a green building evaluation expert in Shandong Province. Her research
interests are green building technology, solar building integration, and
building energy efficiency.
Dr. Xi Deng is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of
Architecture at the University of Hong Kong, the assistant (academic) to the
Head of the Department of Architecture, and the academic leader of the Head’s
research group. Receiving his Ph.D. in Architecture from Cardiff University, he
taught architectural design studios for BA Archi and MA Archi students as a
lecturer at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), where he also worked as the
Assistant Chair of the Department of Architecture. During his doctoral and
postdoctoral research, he was supervised by Professor Philip John Jones OBE, a
British expert in architectural science with a global honorable reputation. Dr.
Deng holds an MSc degree in Architecture and Building Engineering from
Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and a BEng degree in Civil Engineering from
Chongqing University, China. He has rich experience in interdisciplinary
research and engineering practice in the construction industry. His research
interests include low-carbon design at multiple scales, architectural design of
large-scale buildings, and aesthetics of building structures.
