Dr. Camilla Palumbo is an Assistant Professor of General Pathology (MED/04) at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. She graduated from the University "La Sapienza" with a Degree in Biological Sciences in 1995 and obtained her Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine at the University of L’Aquila in 2000. In 2004, she completed her specialization in Clinical Pathology at the University "La Sapienza". Among scientific articles, she has published 50 papers, totaling 9342 citations (h-index = 21, Scopus data from 18 January 2024).
Dr. Chiara Focaccetti is currently a Tenure track assistant professor RTD type B at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Rome, Italy. Patrizia Mancini received her Ph.D. from the Department of Experimental Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome in 1992. Prof. Dr. Giovanni Barillari has been a Full Professor of Clinical Pathology at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Rome "Tor Vergata" since 2006. Prof. Dr. Laura Masuelli is an Associate professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Rome “Sapienza”, Rome, Italy. She obtained her M.D. Degree in Medicine at the University of Rome "Sapienza" in 1989. Then, in 1995, she completed Ph.D. studies. From 1992 to 1996, she served as a Postdoctoral fellow at the NIH, NCI, LTIB, Bethesda MD, USA. Her research fields are cancer immunotherapy, cell signaling in tumor cells, ultrastructural analysis of viral particles and nanoparticles, and ultrastructural diagnosis of human disease.
Dr. Monica Benvenuto is a Researcher at the “Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences” of Rome. She graduated in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and received a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine at the University of Rome “Sapienza”. She was a research fellow at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” for several years. Her research activity is focused on the development of new experimental approaches for the treatment of tumors: cancer immunotherapy and the study of the in vitro and in vivo effects of natural compounds, anticancer vaccines, and intracellular signaling transduction pathways inhibitors on cancer cell growth. She is the author of several publications in international journals of high scientific quality.
Prof. Dr. Roberto Bei, MD, PhD is a Full Professor of General Pathology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy). He obtained his Degree in Medicine and his PhD at the University of Rome “Sapienza” in 1989 and 1998, respectively. He is a Specialist in Medical Oncology and Clinical Pathology. He joined, as a post-doctoral fellow (1992–1996), the LTIB and NIH (Director: DR. J. Schlom), where he started to work in the field of cancer immunotherapy. The teaching activity of Prof. Bei includes lectures on General Pathology in the School of Medicine, Medical Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Dietician, Residency in Endocrinology, and Oncology. His research is focused on cancer immunotherapy and the effects of natural compounds on cancer cell growth. He is a member of the editorial board of several journals.
