Giuliano Tocci is an assistant professor in cardiology at the Division of Cardiology, Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, University of Rome Sapienza, Sant’Andrea Hospital, Rome, Italy. He is a teacher in cardiology in several courses for medical students, medical doctors, resident physicians, nurses, and PhD students at the University of Rome Sapienza, Sant’Andrea Hospital, Rome, Italy. He is a member of the committee of the international Ph.D. course in arterial hypertension and vascular biology at the University of Rome Sapienza, held in collaboration with the University of Padua and the University of Maastricht; he is also a member of the national committee of the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Prevention (SIPREC) and past member of the national committee of the Italian Society of Hypertension (SIIA). He has been a speaker at numerous advanced courses and training courses in arterial hypertension and cardiovascular prevention. He is the author of over 250 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to the drafting of numerous scientific articles and study protocols. He is an expert in the clinical management of hypertension and hypertensive patients with high and very high cardiovascular risk profiles and recognized as a Hypertension Specialist by the Italian Society of Hypertension (SIIA) and the European Society of Hypertension (ESH).
Giacomo Tini Melato received his degree in medicine and surgery (110/110 cum laude) from Facoltà di Medicina e Psicologia, Sapienza Università di Roma in 2015, and finished his specialization in cardiovascular diseases at Università di Genova in 2020. He has been studying for his Ph.D. at Sapienza Università di Roma since October 2020. He is a fixed-term researcher of type A (RTD-A) at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Sapienza Università di Roma.
Massimo Volpe is a professor of cardiology and chairman of cardiology at the Specialty School of Cardiology, University of Rome “Sapienza”. He is Chief of the Cardiology Division, Department of Cardiovascular and Respiratory Science, and Hypertension Unit at Sant’Andrea Hospital, Rome, Italy. He is also a past dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, at the University of Rome Sapienza. His primary research interests are the neurohormonal control of circulation and cardiovascular abnormalities in hypertension and heart failure. He is a member of Italian and International Societies, a Fellow of AHA (High Blood Pressure Council), and ESC, and a Hypertension Specialist at ESH. He has served as president of the Italian Society of Hypertension, the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Prevention, and the Italian College of Cardiology. He is on the editorial board of leading journals, including EHJ.
Emanuele Barbato is a clinician scientist with expertise in interventional cardiology and coronary physiology. He is currently a professor of cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federico II University of Naples, Italy. He has been a member of several scientific and learned societies, and a member of editorial boards of scientific journals (European Heart Journal, Journal Cardiovascular Translational Research, Journal Cardiovascular Medicine). He has served as a member of the Programme Committee of the EuroPCR and the EAPCI. As of 2014, he chaired the National Cardiac Societies and International Affairs Committee of the EAPCI.
Allegra Battistoni is an assistant professor at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome. She received his Ph.D. at the Division of Cardiology, Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, Sant’Andrea Hospital, Sapienza University in 2019. She was an International visiting fellow Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, University of Glasgow, UK, from 2015 to 2016. She is a Member of the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Prevention, Italian Society of Hypertension, and European Society of Hypertension. Her current research interests are hypertension; heart failure; cardiovascular prevention and cardio-oncological prevention; and cardiotoxity assessment and treatment.
