Prof. Christina Piperi is a Professor of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biological Chemistry of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She completed her Ph.D. studies in Cellular and Molecular Immunology Unit at Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, and earned her B.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Surrey. She has published more than 230 papers in various journals, with an h-index of 57 (>10.000 citations, Google Scholar, January 2024). Her research interests include epigenetics, chromatin remodeling factors, HMGB1, signal transduction mechanisms in the field of molecular oncology, brain tumors, neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
