Professor Germán David Mendoza-Martínez graduated as a Veterinary Zootechnist from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco campus. He obtained his master’s degree at the Center for Livestock of the Postgraduate College in 1984 in Mexico and carried out his doctoral studies at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, graduating in 1991 with experiments in the nutrition of ruminants. Later he had a post-doctoral stay at the State University of New Mexico doing wildlife nutrition studies in 1998. He has been a member of the National System of Mexican Researchers since 1987 and has been distinguished as a national researcher Level III since 2000; he is also a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (2002) and the Veterinary Mexican Academy (2000). He has been part of numerous scientific committees in the National Science and Technology Council of Mexico (CONACYT) and national and
international scientific societies. In 2002, he received the State Award for Science and Technology in the State of Mexico. In 2007, he was given the “Reconocimiento al Mérito Científico” by the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla for his studies on wildlife. In 2017, he received the IV Foundation Award for the Spanish Confederation of Composite Food Manufacturers (CESFAC), awarded by the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Spain 2017.
The M.Sc. José Felipe Orzuna-Orzuna is a PhD student at the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo. He earned his B.S. in Animal Science from Autonomous University of Chapingo (UACh), Mexico, and his M.Sc. with a focus on ruminant nutrition from the Autonomous University of Chapingo (UACh). His research interests focus primarily on animal production and nutrition, evaluating dietary additives (mainly phytogenic), and evaluating meat and milk quality. He has published 17 scientific articles in international journals indexed in JCR, mainly on topics related to mathematical modeling to evaluate additives in ruminants. His most recent publication is "Predicting body fat depots in Katahdin sheep using ultrasound kidney fat thickness measurements."
Dr. José Alejandro Roque-Jiménez currently works at the Facultad de Agronomía, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. José conducts research in Food Science and Animal Science. His research interests mainly focus on Animal Production, Animal Nutrition, Ruminant Nutrition, Feed Formulation, Feed Evaluation, Feeding, Feed Technology, Meat Science, Animals, and Dairy Science. He has published over 25 scientific and professional publications, of which 17 are listed in the SCOPUS database with an h-index of 6 (January 2024). Their most recent publication is 'Effect of choline inclusion on lamb performance and meat characteristics'.
Adrián Gloria-Trujillo is a researcher at the Metropolitan Autonomous University-Xochimilco in Mexico City, Mexico. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Antonio Narro Autonomous Agrarian University, and
his Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Colegio de Postgraduados. His primary research interests include Animal Nutrition Sciences, Animal Production, and Nutrigenomics.
José Antonio Martínez-García graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Postgraduate College with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics. He joined the academic staff of the Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics degree program at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in 1998. His research focuses on endemic species that are in danger of extinction, as well as the nutrition of ruminants and wildlife both in their natural habitats and under human care. He works as a researcher in the Department of Agricultural and Animal Production and has authored and collaborated on scientific articles related to the nutrition of domestic animals and wildlife. He is also a member of the National System of Level I Researchers.
Dr. Nallely Sánchez López is a Physician, Administrator, Master of Science, and Doctor of Science from the UAM, with a Postdoctorate in (UASLP) and a second postdoctorate from the Corn and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). She has a Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO). She is the author and collaborator of several scientific articles in JCR magazines with high impact value, and also a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), with the Medal of Merit for Excellence awarded by the Metropolitan Autonomous University.
Dr. Pedro Abel Hernández-García works at Centro Universitario UAEM Amecameca, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México in Amecameca, Mexico. Dr. Hernández-García earned a Doctor of Sciences from College of Postgraduates in Agricultural Sciences, Montecillos Campus and received a postdoctoral degree in Ruminant Nutrition from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Xochimilco (Ciudad de México, Mexico). Dr. Hernández-García’s scientific output includes 35 publications in various journals with an h-index of 9 (Scopus, January 2024).
Hector Aaron Lee Rangel is a researcher at the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi. He earned his B.S. in Animal Science from Chapingo Autonomous University (UACh), Mexico, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Nutrition of Ruminants from Colegio de Postgraduados.
