Author Biographies

Laurentiu Fara has comprehensive experience in optimization modeling and simulation of advanced solar cells and BIPV systems, as well as in training and dissemination of renewable energy systems. He graduated from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Bucharest, Romania. He has worked as a full professor at the Physics Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences, National University of Science and Technology, Politehnica Bucharest, since 1996. He has been the Chairman of the Renewable Energy Commission of the Romanian Academy since 2012. He has coordinated over 30 national and international projects. He has published over 300 articles in international journals and conference proceedings. He is a member of specialized international scientific organizations dedicated to renewable energy and related topics, a member of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), and a member of the European Physical Society (EPS).

Vasiliu Ileana Cristina is a Scientific Researcher at the National Institute of Research and Development for Optoelectronics. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science (2002) and an Engineer Diploma (1979) from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. She received a post-doctoral scholarship at KU Leuven.
Dr. Dan Craciunescu is a researcher at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. He specializes in renewable energy. He has over 5 years of research experience working in an academic institution and research center. He is well versed in the areas of production and energy generation (conventional and renewable energies) as well as fundamental research.
