Jingchen Sun is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at South China Agricultural University, Deputy Dean and Professional Director of the College of Animal Science, Director of the Engineering Center of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, and Editor-in-Chief of Guangdong Sericulture. He received his B.S. degree from Shandong Agricultural University in 1994. After graduating from South China Agricultural University with an M.S. degree in 1997, he stayed at the university as a teacher. He received his Ph.D. degree in biophysics from Sun Yat-sen University in 2004, and was a visiting scholar at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2013–2014. He mainly focuses on the molecular and structural mechanisms of the interaction between Bombyx mori viruses and host cells, including baculovirus vector expression systems and bioreactors, and the three-dimensional reconstruction of viruses by cryo-electron microscopy. He teaches several Entomopathology, Genetic Engineering, and Cell Biology courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
Min Feng is an Associate Researcher and M.S. Supervisor at South China Agricultural University. He received his B.S. degree in Animal Science from Northwest University for Nationalities in 2011, his M.S. degree in Animal Infectious Diseases from South China Agricultural University in 2014, and his Ph.D. in Animal Genetic Breeding and Reproduction from South China Agricultural University in 2017. He entered the Postdoctoral Station of Biology of South China Agricultural University to engage in Postdoctoral work in August 2017 and was promoted to Associate Researcher in January 2019. From March 2019 to May 2020, he went to the National Center for Scientific Research in Greece to research insect virology. In August 2020, he joined the Department of Sericulture Science, College of Animal Science, South China Agricultural University as a high-level introduced talent. He is mainly engaged in antiviral natural immunity, and virus-host interactions research.
