Roberto Miano is an Associate Professor in Urology at the Faculty of Medicine, IMS International Medical School, Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Rome Tor Vergata. He obtained his M.D. in 1994 at the University of Rome La Sapienza, followed by a clinical specialization in Urology in 2000 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is actually working at Policlinico Tor Vergata Foundation where he is the coordinator of the clinical program “Diagnosis and treatment of kidney stone”. He is an active member of several scientific societies and has received several grants and awards for his studies on prostate cancer and kidney stones. His main clinical and scientific interests are the prevention and treatment of urinary stone disease, training and simulation in minimally-invasive surgery, and the diagnostics and the minimally-invasive treatment of BPH and prostate cancer.
