Ping Hu achieved a B.Sc. degree in Clinical Pharmacy at Sichuan University in 2002, an M.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutics at Sichuan University, China, in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Science in 2012 at The University of Manchester, UK. He served as a postdoctoral fellow in Pharmacy at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy from 2018 to 2019. He has worked as a Marie Curie fellow in Germany and joined a few pharmaceutical sectors and academic institutions. He currently works as an Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Jinan University, China. His current research interests include the design and evaluation of modified-release formulations and intelligent drug delivery systems. He is particularly interested in the design of hydrogel-based novel drug delivery systems, IVIVC of sustained-release formulations, stimuli-responsive fluorescent probes, and smart drug carriers with multiple functionalities.

Prof. Chuanbin Wu is a professor at the College of Pharmacy, Jinan University, China. He completed his master's studies at the Beijing Medical University in 1992 and obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Texas, Austin, US, in 1999. He served as the deputy Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Sun Yat-sen University and worked for internationally renowned companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, and Actavis. He is also an AAPS fellow, a member of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, a Regional Editor of AAPS PharmSciTech, Vice Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Preparation Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Society, etc. His main research areas are new drug formulations and drug release systems.
Xin Pan is an associate professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University. She graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2011 with a doctorate in pharmacy. Her main research areas are novel drug formulations and drug delivery systems. She has published more than 80 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad and applied for 36 patents, including seven authorized patents related to basic research on preparation applications and three paid transformations. She is the Secretary-General of the Pharmaceutical Preparation Professional Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society and a professional member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), the International Microencapsulation Association, the International Controlled Release Society (CRS), and the China Inhaled Dosage Alliance (IDDA).
