Giuseppina Basini is an associate professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, University of Parma. She studied Biology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Parma, Italy, from 1986 to 1990, was a specialist in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Parma, Italy, from 1992 to 1998. She obtained her Ph.D. in Domestic Animal Endocrinology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bologna, Italy, from 1993 to 1997. Her research interests include granulosa cells, the ovary, the corpus luteum, ROS, and steroids.
Francesca Grasselli is an associate professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences–Physiology Section, University of Parma, Parma, Italy. She obtained a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma, Italy, in 1986, a diploma in "Small Animal Clinic" from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Milan, Italy, in 1990 and her PhD in the "Neuroendocrinology of domestic animals" at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bologna, Italy, in 1993. Her research activity has encompassed various areas of reproductive endocrinology, with particular insights into the endocrine and paracrine regulation of follicular development; the control of ovarian angiogenic and antiangiogenic processes; the effect of endocrine disruptors on reproductive function; and free radicals and reproductive function.
