Prof. Dr. Evangelia E. Golia studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Agronomic Sciences at the University of Thessaly. Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Soil Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has a master's degree in Quality Assurance and a PhD in Soil Science (Soil Pollution). She has published several articles in distinguished international scientific journals, and papers in international and national conferences. She has taught courses in Soil Science, Soil Fertility, Soil Chemistry and Soil Pollution for years. Her interests include soil science, soil chemistry, soil pollution with potentially toxic elements and organic molecules, reaction kinetics, the physicochemical behavior of potentially toxic elements and trace elements in soil, the use of soil conditioners (inorganic and organic) in soils, phytoremediation, the monitoring of soil pollution using geographic information systems, urban soil pollution, and the use of pollution soil indicators.
