Kenneth C. Elliott received his BSc degree in Pre-veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences in 2017 and his Ph.D. in Animal Science in 2022, both from the University of Delaware. Dr. Elliott is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine working at Uniformed Services University. His research interests focus on viral pathogenesis, host-virus interactions, antiviral vaccine development, innate and adaptive immune responses to viruses, and the development of animal models.
Joseph J. Mattapallil received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the
College of Veterinary Medicine, India in 1986 and his Ph.D. from the
University of California Davis in 1997. Dr. Mattapallil is a Professor at the
Department of Microbiology and Immunology, F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine,
Uniformed Services University. His research interests focus on host-virus
interactions of emerging and re-emerging viruses, viral pathogenesis, innate
and adaptive immunity to viruses, mucosal pathogenesis and immune responses,
and the development of animal models and antiviral vaccines.
